SHIPPING GUIDELINES FOR RECYCLING

Please follow theses shipping guidelines to ensure the safe arrival of your cartridges and cell phones at the Green School Project Recycling Center.

Guidelines:

  • Green is Good! Please discard all white shipping labels and only use the
GREEN labels to send your used
    printer cartridges and cell phones.
Free green shipping labels help your recycling efforts
Locate a sturdy box that meets these requirements:
    • No larger than 20”W x 20”H x 24”D
    • Maximum 40 pounds when full
  • Pack cartridges and cell phones using the 20-20 Rule:
    • 20 pounds of laser cartridges or mixed products or
    • At least 20 individual units of one type of product (inkjets, lasers or cell phones)
  • Fill extra space with newspaper and securely tape your box closed.
  • Apply a GREEN preprinted shipping label to each box and leave for your UPS driver or take it to a UPS center. Call 1-800-742-5877 or visit www.ups.com for locations.

Do not call UPS for a pickup. UPS charges a mandatory fee when called to pick up packages which cannot be waived or reimbursed by Green School Project.

Please remember: You should not send toner tanks or cell phone chargers, accessories and extra batteries.

Because we're an environment-friendly program, we encourage folks to use any old cardboard boxes they have on hand for shipping. But we're more than happy to provide extra boxes if needed. For additional information call toll free 1.877.882.5032.
